brand new remixes and a very special unreleased Osunlade mix.

Mantis’ own Atjazz & Pinku Vääty skip the track to new heights and

strange places from the deepest house to 12beat mayhem, while

Osunlade teases every ounce of soul into his Yoruba Suite.

ATJAZZ feat Robert Owens – LOVE SOMEONE

What an absolute killer this is! Atjazz teams up with Robert Owens, a

man worthy of the label Living legend of house music, it’s a pleasure

to release this record on Mantis Recordings.

For any of you post acid house people i.e. young, who don’t know

Robert’s work, he and Larry Heard formed Chicago house innovators

Fingers Inc. in the mid eighties. He also later had hits, alongside

various members of the Def Mix team, with songs Tears and I’ll Be

Your Friend. A DJ, producer and outstanding songwriter and vocalist.

Remixers are Slope, who’ve released three albums on Germany’s

Sonar Kollektiv, and have worked with artists close to Mantis such as

Clara Hill, Capitol A and Jane Hamilton.

They hit with a classic house sound on their 90’s remix, and give us a

superb vocal dub of the track. It grooves, it builds, and it works the

dancefloor.

ATJAZZ feat Robert Owens – LOVE SOMEONE (REMIXES)

The Mario Basanov & Vidis ‘Redo’ is the one many have been waiting

for. The Lithuanian production outfit (not Slovenian as a certain BBC

DJ has reported) The ‘Redo’ has been making waves, and has

featured on both Gilles Peterson’s and Pete Tong’s radio shows on

BBC Radio 1. Best described as a Moroder meets Carl Craig monster

of a mix. Atjazz has also been busy working on new mixes, initially

for his own DJ sets, but due to the reactions they’re released here.

His ‘Deeper’ mix sets a building groove which fans of his sound will

love, while the Deep Order vocal dub is a club DJ’s dream. A creeping

floorfiller, which has that all too rare quality of being able to switch a

dancefloor mood both up a level or down a notch. The digital release

will also feature an instrumental of the Mario Basanov & Vidis mix for

those wanting to work that big, big groove.
