Belgian DJProducer Omnicolor aka Ben Lian has been enjoying some much deserved success recently with his previous release Hold On hitting both the Beatport and Track it down charts. Wishful Thinking his debut for Monad Music is a stunning slab of Tech House that see’s this talented young producer explore the melodic side of his nature. The release also comes with two excellent Tech House remixes from mParadis and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Original Mix
Omnicolor’s mix starts off as deceptively low key affair but soon builds to a crescendo of melody and sound. The track is based around a naggingly catchy synth riff which rides on top of tight shuffling rhythms that leads nicely on to some beautifully layered hooks and melodies.
mParadis Remix
Canadian DJProducer mParadis brings all the ingredients of his big room sound into play on his remix of Wishful Thinking. He manages to take the energy level up a notch or two with the use of a tough driving bass line while still retaining the best elements of the original.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Remix
Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike take their remix in a darker more minimalist direction. They initially strip the track back to a hypnotic throbbing groove but gradually intensify the energy levels with some dirty arpeggios and synth lines.
