After contacting Carl Craig, Detroit techno pioneer in 1997, Recloose signed to Planet E Records. He’s spent time performing as a turntablist for Carl Craig’s Innerzone Orchestra and produced a series of groundbreaking 12â€s, a mix cd for Belgian label Eskimo and remixes for MJ Cole, Herb Towa and Clara Hill. He released his debut album “Cardiology†in 2002 to great acclaim. After a performance at an international jazz festival in Wellington, New Zealand, he fell in love with NZ and relocated there. Spring 2005 saw the release of his 2nd album “Hiatus on Horizon “ on respected British techno label Peacefrog Records. This is a rare opportunity to come and hear Carl Craig’s protégé spin an eclectic set of dance floor bombs that will no doubt set the club on fire.
Joining Recloose is Patrick Forge, long-time London eclectic dj. He started his career in the mid-1980’s playing dance floor orientated jazz alongside Gilles Peterson. The only KISS FM dj to have kept a show on the station since the days when it was an illegal Pirate, his Cosmic Jam sessions are essential listening for real heads. In addition to his do work Patrick has enjoyed success with his Brazilian influenced band, Da Lata , with whom he writes and produces.
Just when you thought the line up couldn’t we thought we’d throw in Digs and Whoosh for a summer vibes bumpin house set in room 2. These boys need no introduction and are considered a British quality house institution. Joining them are Floatation’s residents Fred Lopez and Steve Alexander.
This party is gonna rock so if you wanna burn your disco boots on the 5th of August make sure you beat down.
