    Worlds Collide.

On October 2, 2005, New York’s Carnegie Hall will put a spin on classical music. The Red Bull Artsehcro will showcase sixty of the most progressive collegiate classical musicians with a thirst to set new boundaries in their art. They will accompany another true innovator, DJ Radar, in performing the world premier of “Concerto for Turntable”.

This three movement concerto redefines the pre-conceived notions of “classical” music, flipping the traditional Concerto form on its head by featuring the turntable as a melodic instrument and integral part of an orchestra.

    Carnegie Hall. New york City.
What better place to reinvent classical music than the pantheon of the genre: Carnegie Hall. This stage has seen decades of musical history, but Red Bull Artsehcro, a modern innovation of classic art, will leave its New York audience with a new appreciation for what classical music can be.

    ARTSEHCRO.
Sixty of the most promising and progressive classical musicians from colleges and universities around the world will converge in New York City this fall to form the Red Bull Artsehcro.

These student musicians were selected from over 300 applicants for both their incredible talent and their variety of interests beyond classical music and into the realms of hip hop, indie rock, and electronic music.

In turn, these musicians will help introduce a new sound and a new audience to the classical music genre by performing at Carnegie Hall on October 2, 2005.
