The Timewriter always succeeds in taking a classic deep house sound and tweaks it in such a way that it’s always amusing. His sounds always manage to grab your attention and keep you focused on his music. To me this track is a bit different then what we’re used of The Timewriter. It has more funk and resides in a gently more uplifting atmosphere then the laid back vibe this artist usually works in. Like the voice whispers “smooth” at some point in the track, The Timewriter creates a smooth vibe balancing on the edge of uplifting but staying in the musical territory The Timewriter feels at home in. This man knows how to put warmth in his tracks. The rhythm breaths on his own and is filled with such gentle high hats and little sounds, I have rarely heard on a production. With this track you can up the tension without even your crowd notice it. Subtle and gently nasty are the keywords here. A track that deserves your attention, like any track of The Timewriter does.
