Slide return to The Lambeth on Saturday 27 July, welcoming A Love From Outer Space, aka Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston, to headline the terrace alongside a great lineup over 3 spaces. Last year’s party was our favourite summer Slide of 2012, if you didn’t make it here’s a little taster:

The manifesto of ALFOS is to never knowingly exceed 122bpm. Andrew describes it as “an oasis of slowness in a world of increasing velocity”.

Weatherall played a big part in moulding the UK’s acid house scene in the late 1980s. He also produced one of the most pivotal albums of our generation, Primal Scream’s “Screamadelica” and over the year’s turned his skills to remix some of the most seminal artists around, including Grinderman, My Bloody Valentine, Bjork and Happy Mondays. His Two Lone Swordsmen and Sabres of Paradise monikers were both released on the iconic UK label Warp Records and remain hugely respected to this day.

Sean Johnston has been DJing since his formative years in the frozen North. Acid House Veteran, Techno Survivor, Hardway Bros, Beard Scientist and Freelance Disco Consultant, his productions, alongside fellow Hardway Bros, Jake Davies and a mysterious South Londoner known only as Rico have graced Sabres of Paradise, Third Mind, Flashcomm and more recently Beard Science, Pointless Edits and cult Norwegian act Mungolian Jetset’s label Luna Flicks.

Support comes from Slide regulars and ALFOS favourites Eskimo Twins plus Craig Bratley and Scott Fraser, alongside Slide residents Lloyd Wakeman, Rich Smith and more.
