Every Saturday SOB’s brings Brazil to New York with the sounds
of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. Live bands put a modern twist on
Samba, Axe and Forro. After the bands finish their sets, the DJs take
over, spinning Baile Funk, Samba Reggae, House and Hip Hop until
the early part of the morning. This is truly one of the hottest dance
parties in NYC! Check out the next party:
Dario Boente has performed in more than 14 countries worldwide and
his compositions have been included in several albums and
compilations. His band called “Huge in Japanâ€, teams up inspired
musicians from around the globe and have created quite a stir at
Nublu (NYC). Dario layers the grime and groove of New York and
London, the heartbeats of Brazil, the rituals of Argentina and the
mother tongues of Africa, all into one seamless groove. Energy in its
purest form.
He has collaborated at ALMA’s Neo-Brasilian fusion party with
residents DJ True and Miller as a member of the Louie Vega’s
Elements of Life band. He has also jammed with his Huge in Japan
band at ALMA’s 3rd Anniversary party with special guest Rich Medina.
On December 22nd they come together, once again for a sexy
Saturday midnight party at the legendary SOB’s to celebrate Dario’s
Birthday.
