Hot on the heals of the Strictly Erick Morillo release, Strictly Rhythm
maintains the 20th Anniversary momentum with the launch of a brand new
digital compilation series, Strictly Rhythms, that says, well,
really everything about the label musically.

Strictly Rhythms digital comps are a mix up of too-good-to-be-forgotten
classics and the label’s hottest new releases. Who more appropriate to
cover the full spectrum of the Strictly sound in one snapshot than
Strictly Rhythm A&R, radio presenter and noted DJ Aaron Ross, who kicks
us off with his Volume One mix selection?

As a series released quarterly we’ll be featuring exclusive, previously
unreleased versions of some much-loved Strictly titles as well as
plenty of new music from the label. Many edits will remain exclusive
to the particular release and on most digital platforms the albums will
be available in DJ mix as well as full length single track edits.

Aaron’s selection features no fewer than six previously unreleased mixes/edits
including man-of-the-moment Funkagenda’s never heard before remix of Wink’s
seminal track Higher State Of Consciousness to the soulful underground sounds
of 95 North and Laura Harris on Bring Back The Love; Aaron’s very own 2009 edit
of Roger Sanchez’s early 90s club banger, Shake Shake, and also the brand new
main room house sound of Afrojack’s Radioman. Extra flavour is added to the mix
with four of Aaron’s favourite accapellas: Logic’s The Warning, Colonel Abrams’
Victim Of Loving You, Bingo Players’ Touch Me and Osunlade’s Momma’s Groove.
With matters brought to a close by an exclusive DJ Spen edit of the recently-issued
Code 718 Equinox (Henrik Schwarz Remix), this edition has Aaron’s signature sound,
a combination of old, new and soulful, running right the way through it.

With this release Strictly sets the new digital standard.
The best repertoire, the most prolific artistes, some fresh and incredibly exciting
new names continue the legacy. Look out for the next volume selected and mixed by
    Osunlade due in May.
