Â
August starts with a bang as our first Friday session of the month –
that’s 1st August, welcomes the typical mix of all things good at The
Gallery from regular and much loved faces to rising talent and buzz
name producers and DJs of the moment. It is becoming clear that
with several rocking months already under our belt the prophetic
words of one of the MOS TV presenters may well be true… “Friday
nights will never be the same again!!â€
Â
Not ones to rest on our laurels here at The Gallery our headliner this
week shares a similar outlook on life as us and since we helped
launch his album earlier this year he too has certainly not rested on
his.
Continuing to stride at a pace unmatched by anyone; he of course is
the sensational and charming Sander van Doorn.
Â
Â
Returning to his home here at Gallery once again Sander has had a
busy few months not only touring the ‘Supernaturalistic’ album across
the globe but finding time to launch his own ‘Doorn’ recordings,
improve the already brilliant ‘Identity’ monthly radio show, get back
in the studio
– including the huge collaboration with Marco V as well as appear at
leading events such as main stage at Dance Valley, Tiesto’s night in
Ibiza, Global Gathering and all over the globe. PHEW!!
Â
Christopher Lawrence makes the transatlantic crossing bringing with
him his trademark collection of dark, underground records on the
trance and psy trance tip that have for years made him a hugely
popular figure at The Gallery. Now with his own label entitled
Pharmacy and an accompanying radio show; Christopher remains a
true boundary pusher and perfect to take it up a notch a little later on
at Gallery.
Â
Sister Bliss returns to The Gallery and we’re glad to have her
around; it simply would not be Gallery without the Bliss making
regular appearances with her trademark up for it style of DJing. She
rocks it like no one else and with her mix album ‘Nightmoves’ now
out in the shops; she’ll provide the perfect soundtrack to this week’s
proceedings.
Â
The Box is rounded off with the inclusion of trance DJ/producer
Simon Patterson. One half of Dogzilla and one time Serious and
Judgement Sunday resident has had a busy time of late touring not
only with the Dogzilla live show project last year but also seeing solo
productions such as ‘Smack’ and ‘Bulldozer’ cement his reputation as
a DJ and producer to rival the very best. Now a firm fixture at the
biggest clubs around the globe and with a release schedule destined
to further his reputation, this a chance to catch him while you can!
Â
The Bar welcomes Pacha resident and all round legend Anthony
Pappa who last took to the Bar to launch his latest mix album (still on
repeat in our offices, it’s that good!) Continuing to collect air miles
like they’ve gone out of fashion, Anthony brings his wealth of
experience, travelling and exposure to music worldwide to every one
of his DJ sets and thus always delivering the goods.
Â
Justin Drake, one half of production machine Peace Division gets
behind the ones and twos and is joined by Warehouse Project
resident Krysko who makes the brief journey down the motorway to
give the Bar some of his love. The Baby Box sees Do U Like it Dirty
bring their bevy of London talent to the show whilst the intriguingly
title FAQ takeover The Lounge!
