The album kicks off with a Cafe del Mar style Ambient
remix of ‘The Hang Drum Track’ which also get’s the remix
treatment from both Eric Kupper & Timmy Stewart (Jet
Project) . Opening track from the original album ‘Boom’
get’s a Dubstep re-rub from Akashic 11 as well as a full on
Tech House makeover from New York City’s finest Onionz.
There is a Drum & Bass remix of Swing Thing from
Jenkinsound which also now features Sam Obernik on
vocals. Lutzenkirchen /and Harvey (Trisco) Dawson have
reworked Magic Roundabout, while Timo gives it an extra
dimension by adding Amber Jolene’s sultry vocals over it to
kick start CD2. There’s much more on there, some already
released as singles and others new and exclusive from the
likes of DJ Pierre, James Harcourt, Demarkus Lewis, Justin
Harris (Freaks), Shifter & Carvell so please check it out…
and below are some select DJ reactions and rather
amazing reviews from the worlds dance music press…
And of course no Berwick Street Records release would be
complete without a rather large release party to go with it
so in true style we will be holding ours at the Ministry of
Sound in London on Friday 19th February…. so make sure
you get your name on our guestlist and come on down to
celebrate with us (flyer/details below)

and quite expansive. I also really like Timo’s Balearica Mix.
This is a good candidate for next month’s radio show. Also
liking the mixes by Justin Harris, James Harcourt, and the
lovely Shifter & Carvell mix. Nice package overall …
cheers for it.

Hang Drum Track)
AFTERLIFE
“I really like it, it has a feel of Jon Hassell in his African
phase but really up to date. I really love the brass chords
and the overall vibe is great.” (The Hang Drum Track
Balearica remix)
Stuart Patterson (on Deadly Grooves)
F#ckin ace mate.. best thing you’ve done for me.. all mixes
killer, now just which one to play..
Data Transmission (Review of BOOM) 9/10
Akashic 11 finishes off with a 2-step garage mix with
dubstep sounds, full of rude bass frequencies both razor-
sharp and phatter in nature. The vocals and original sounds
are cut up placed inventively, and combined with gnarly,
tumultuous bass, make for by far the most interesting and
musically enjoyable mix of the lot. Stick with this and the
original and you’ll go far my son.

ourHOUSE Magazine review by Dean Facer 10/10
Following his superb debut album release back in May 2009
Timo Garcia enlists a truly inspired selection of DJ’s to
remix the album, and brings you, Wonderlust Bug – T
heRemixes. Coming out on his own highly regarded London
based label Berwick Street Records, Tim Belcher aka Timo
Garcia has selected 19 superb remixes of his own original
material, and as mentioned he has enlisted some truly
inspired choices of DJ’s to do the remixes including DJ
Pierre, Eric Kupper, Jon Gurd, Demarkus Lewis,
Lützenkirchen etc.
Personal favourites of mine are DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid remix
of ‘Boom’ which is a real gem of remix and takes you on a
trip down memory lane with it’s late 80’s acid overtones
and bringing back fond memories of the whole Acid House
scene, then there is one of my favourite producers,
Lützenkirchen, with his take on ‘Magic Roundabout’ which is
six and half minutes of peaktime jackin’ house that locks
you into it’s groove and takes you prisoner and then of
course there is the ground breaking track ‘The Hang Drum
Track’ that actually gets the remix treatment three times all
in very different ways, but Timo’s own ‘Balearica Mix’ is
simply stunning and just ripe for watching the sunset in a
bar in Ibiza or wherever else you choose to see the sun
melt in to the ocean. Overall 10/10, 19 superb remixes of
Timo’s original works and a must have album for any
serious DJ or music lover.
Resident Advisor NEWS Article
Timo Garcia is set to release a double-disc collection of
remixes in early February. Real name Tim Belcher, the
London-based DJ, producer and label owner certainly
hasn’t relied on any others in getting his name out there,
founding his Berwick Street Records imprint in 2005 in
order to showcase his tech-house productions. His hard
work over the past five years culminated with last year’s
debut full-length, Wonderlust Bug, and Belcher is obviously
keen to keep the momentum going with this 19-track
compilation. Featuring remixes from Chicago house legend
DJ Pierre as well as Lützenkirchen, Onionz, Timmy Stewart,
James Harcourt and Belcher himself, Wonderlust Bug: The
Remixes aims directly for the dance floor. If you didn’t
catch it last time around, the producer has made the
original Wonderlust Bug album available as a free
download via his Soundcloud page. Berwick Street Records
will release Wonderlust Bug: The Remixes on February 8th,
2010.
iDJ Magazine review 8/10
Timo Garcia Wonderlust Bug: The Remixes Berwick Street
(UK) Wherein label boss Timo flexes his contact muscles
and ties 19 club-ready rubs of tracks from last year’s artist
album in two handy discs. If you’ve been following Timo’s
label Berwick St, you’ll kinda know what to expect; house
music, and plenty of it! A few curveballs have also been
included to keep things as varied and exciting as they need
to be in these competitive times. Admittedly the collection
works best for DJs but there’s more than enough variety to
keep any dancefloor-reared ears happy… And even more
production talent. My own personal highlights come
courtesy of Justin Harris for his whimsically melodic take on
‘Wonderlust’, and Akashic, thanks to his deviously edgy
dubsteppy angle on ‘Boom’, but these are just two in a
collection that features names as big as DJ Pierre and
Onionz and stretch as far as downtempo to D&B.
Wonderlusts never cease…
Transmission / Inhale review by Jan Milkulin 8/10
True to form, Timo has put together a double album of
remixes that show just why he is such an in-demand DJ
and producer… With luminaries such as Eric Kupper, DJ
Pierre and Onionz queuing up for remix duty, this was
always sure to pack a punch or two. The knock-out blows
come from Kupper, Jon Gurd, Shifter & Carvell and Timo
himself, who steps in occasionally to remix his own work
and providing my favourite mix of the entire album – the
Balearica remix of his storming single, ‘The Hang Drum
Track’. Overall, this is a double album that intrigues,
informs and inspires. A great collection of tracks and a well
planned and compiled album with a good fell and flow too.
Soonnight review by Kristan Caryl 83%
Timo Garcia – Berwick Street Records boss – commendably
soldiers on in the fight for the limelight that is the nature of
running an independent label with this, the release of his
debut artist album Wonderlust Bug as remixed by a range
of talents from a whole bag full of genres. The original LP
was a well-produced journey through techy, proggy house
and drew on Timo’s experiences of travelling the world. It
also introduced the world to the Hang Drum (a sonorous,
deep, bell-like instrument) and Manu Delago (a skilled
player of said drum) and was as much for home as it was
for club listening. This remix edition, though, is decidedly
more dance floor orientated once Timo’s album opening,
sun kissed reinterpretation of The Hang Drum track has
blissfully floated by having dumped you in Balearic heaven.
After that comes a peak time, pumping ‘Wonderlust [Free
Your Mind]’ re-rub by Shifter & Carvell which ebbs and
flows from spiralling synth breakdowns to driving, tech
edged house, all with an ethereal vocal from Amber Jolene
floating up top. Also included is a retro slice of house
courtesy of NYC’s DJ Onionz who turns ‘Boom’ into a
percolating track which builds and builds with twisted
synths until it bubbles over into a deep, spacey jaunt; a
spare, trippy 4/4 cut ‘Wonderlust’ from James Harcourt
which is as much for head as it is heel and even a slice of
piano led deebee from Jenkinsound who take the swing
theme of ‘Swing Thing’ and run it through a fuzzy, future
filter.
The second disc offers more straight up house with micro-
funky and dainty melodies (Daybreak’s remix of ‘Magic
Roundabout’); swaggering, deep tech-house (‘Wonderlust’
(Justin Harris Singapore remix)); chunky, shuffling grooves
in the form of ‘Swing Thing’ (Demarkus Lewis remix);
prickling acid from DJ Pierre on ‘Boom;’ broken beats on
‘The Morning After ‘(Instrumental Beats mix) and what is
arguably the highlight – a moody, salt shaker sprinkled
slice of dark underground tech from the Jet Project’s
Timmy Stewart. All in all another solid release for Timo,
and one which offers so much to so many: any DJs out
there should add this to their want lists immediately – it’s
full of killer tracks which could ignite many a varied dance
floor.
