WILDLIFE – SAT 3RD NOVEMBER
BABALOU, BRIXTON, LONDON£5 before 12am / £10 After
Mecanique (Toolroom Trax / Slave Recordings)
Colin Dale (Resident)
Dave Mothersole (MOS)
Mark Dale ( Rebel Audio)Fresh is best, especially when you’re talking about music, and with London’s renowned vibe and energy you wouldn’t expect anything less. It’s off the beaten track where you find the choicest cuts – established yet unpretentious artists alongside the creative dynamic of those breaking through – exactly what Wildlife, the party showcase for Wildlife artist management agency, has at its heart.
The 3rd November sees Wildlife shake the funk of Brixton’s Babalou, host to events from the BBC World Music Awards to the Arctic Monkeys after-show party, and now witness to the launch of a wild night of electro and tech house from the UK’s best known and break-through DJs and LIVE acts.
Pushing the technologies on the night will be Mecanique, one of the leaders of the Toolroom Trax New School, producer on Slave Recordings, with inclusions on compilations including Sasha, Danny Howells, Pete Gooding, Darren Emerson and D. Ramirez’s Ministry of Sound Sessions; resident DJ and producer Colin Dale, global techno legend and innovator of 25 years, player of festivals and clubs across the world from Dance Valley and the Full Moon parties to Fabric and Pacha (Buenos Aires);
Dave Mothersole, one of the originators of the tech house “state of mindâ€, guest on KissFM, MOS, Amnesia (Ibiza) and Homelands, to name just a few; and the deep, dark electro sounds of Mark Dale, founder of Rebel Audio Music, who’s sets have seen him play alongside the greats including Dave Angel, Luke Slater, DJ Hell and Richie Hawtin.
Wildlife on the 3rd November – Where the digital age embraces the dance floor.
