The 5th instalment on Bunchlox, The Bouldin Nights EP delivers deep, twisted house music, straight from Chicago, funky jackin house music. Steve Balance and Coy West are behind the Southern Roots guise offering three very different tracks, all with a similar broken groove, hypnotic and dirty. The label is establishing a loyal fan base of monthly shoppers as it develops a consistent sound and release schedule, keeping true to its signature label concept of delivering multiple tracks from a variety of top House artists. Tech-House and smooth joints for your shoppers that can be placed on any House-style wall in the shop.

Blueline- Ian Lehman- New Industrial Formats
The bangin techno label that brings on Frankie Bones, Glenn Wilson, Tim Xavier, Andrei Morant, Woody Mc Bride and others is now back! Frankie Vega pumps more air into this one for more bounce to the ounce! FRANKIE VEGA turned the name of the most used train line in Chicago into a record label concept — BLUELINE. This label has become the home for pounding Techno greats and serves as a launching pad for artists to deliver their music to the global Techno community. Producing this release is Ian Lehman. Who is he? Flavor of the moment techno artist thats on every techno label that your that shoppers take home! Wall it with your Chris Leibing, Christan Smith, Marco Bailey Records!

Body Music- RC Groove/ Audio Project- Superfreaque “Music”
Ron Carroll and Audio Soul put together a perfect 12 thats right up the alley of any Yoshitoshi fan. In my opinion this is the best Body Music release to date. RCs original mix definitely falls in the vein of Eddie Amadors House Music release. A stompy, body-moving, Chicago house track topped with Music themed vocals. On the flip, Audio Soul Project (aka MAZI) will floor you and your customers. Like the mailman, delivers the goods hes known for, as heard via his NRK and Gourmet releases.

Hump Records- Harrison Crump/ Crump Daddy/ Mr. A.L.I.- Gone
Since Harrison Crump experienced such major success with his massive releases on Subliminal making their way into the biggest jocks boxes and his stunning vocal performances on the award-winning Felix da Housecat album “Kittenz & Thee Glitz, he decided it was time to tell the world his House Music on his own terms. Here we cross the threshold of Hump and enter the meeting ground where lyrical songwriting and technical engineering hold hands. Gone, with its catchy melody and right on the money lyrics is set to be an anthem in Discos around the world. This is a full vocal track and the delivery of the vocal is watertight as it skates around a Rhodes piano. Gone Crump Daddy Remix is a Dubby take on the original sans the Rhodes with a spot on keyboard solo and an additional piano line that drives the groove. Infusing new sounds creates new atmosphere and turns this mix into a big room Saturday night stomper. Gone Still Searching Mix by Mr. A.L.I., is Jere MacAlister and Vick Lavender flexing the chops that they show off live each week at Chicago live House night, Forte. This is a Deep House journey into the premise that Harrison laid down and they took it, ran with it and gave it the treatment that they can only give. Keep your eyes peeled for this label as Crump Daddy has big plans and we all want in!

CHIL001- Chiltepin Records- Nook & Cranny- La Salsa

Chicago groove master and house music – wonderworker Johnny Fiasco makes breaking the ice with a new label seem way too easy! The Chicago Don brings forth yet another release as previously seen though releases on Afterhours, Distant Music, Jamayka and Chicago’s Cajual Records. La Salsa’s hot Latin flavor is sure to turn some heads and defiantly win the ladies over! All around top Fiasco sound quality delivering his signature baseline topped with Latin beats and more! Shoppers that dig anything W&P by Johnny Fiasco will love it!

DF001- Dirty Fabric- The Funk Monkeys- Don’t You Love it?

This was the label debut by master of melodies, Paul Anthony. Paul comes strong with a smoking debut worked- up Funk Monkeys style on his own imprint, Dirty Fabric. Paul Anthony is a name you’re seeing all over records… here’s a hit that will knock the ball right out of the park! Two full sides of groovy joints that established Dirty Fabric as a label you love! If you’re a fan of the standard setting Crydamoure label… here is a label that does the trick and then some… There’s nothing like a house record out of Chicago!

HOR025- High Octane Recordings- Gene Hunt- Spazzed

Two names: Gene Hunt and DJ Rush! What do you think of that? Well, you should think highly of both legendary artists. “Spazzed” brings the two on wax together for the first time, and it’s a treat. Following Ruben Andersen “Flat Twin”, High Octane puts out Techno with the Chi-town stamp all over it. Side A hits hard with opener “Spazzed”, a relentless barrage of beats and chaos that sounds nothing short of a industrial thunderstorm. Not for the faint hearted! Next up is “Relieved”, an old-school filthy techno track that is reminiscent of the Robert Armani records on Dance Mania. Flip the slab of wax over and we have two remixes by DJ Rush himself. “Spazzed [DJ Rush remix]” is the Drum Major at his most guttural and raw. Simple, yet effective, this is what Rush is all about. And then we’ve got “Relieved [DJ Rush remix]”, where the beats take on a military cadence and whip all that listen into submission. These are quick mixes to use as tools while the techno cuts fly on by. If you have ever heard Rush spin, then you know what we mean. If you haven’t, you should. This is some real nasty techno for the freaks and fronks of the world. Let your freak flag fly and enjoy!

JRM001- JustRockinMusic- Johnny Fiasco- Neck Snappers Session 1

Johnny Fiasco is one of the most respected house jocks and producers around and has been for quite some time. His musical works can be found in nearly every house collection imaginable. JustRockinMusic makes a run for the finish line right from the green light with The Neck Snapper Sessions. Fiasco furiously rocks “The Stroke a.k.a. The One” with a deep drilling sawed- out bass line, and filthy funk- house rhythms that would make a gravedigger want to shower. This dirty, sexy, brilliant piece of music is another deep notch in Fiasco’s leather belt. Slather Hogan and John Larner follow- up on the B side with an ultra-funk ridden club rocker with an “oh so smooth…oh so dirty” bass line, accented with smoking Chicago horns, funky guitar, and reverbed vox for good show. It also has enough of that hot jazz feel to add some fiery spice to any house set. Groovy, Serious and jackin…. Download it along with tracks off of Amenti Music, Tango, Hip Therapy, Innuendo, Icon and just about anything else produced by Fiasco, Larner and Hogan.

GSR003- Groove Shop Recordings- Frankie Bones – House Of Odd

The original New York techno dj, baseball cap wearin, underground music talking icon comes strong with a powerful record loaded with anthems and exclusive Frankie Bone voice samples and lock grooves for scratching and layering. Its like a recording studio to perform live with in the form of a record. Could be considered the hottest Frankie Bones record ever! This record also features exclusive Frankie Bones DJ Tool’s such as Lock grooves and Vocal drops Compiled and edited by DJ Jes One, Frankie Vega and Myke D.

    February 14 Releases!

    DTX037- Dust Traxx, Chicago-Smitty & Eric Davenport – Spiderfunk

Here is one for people who are feeling the Gallery releases. This release is very musical (guitar and synths) yet dreamy with never a dull moment. Chunky house fans will be sure to love this one. Deejays that we feel will give it a whirl are Lawn Chair Generals (Peter C), Johnny Fiasco, Derrick Carter, DJ Heather and East Coast Boogie Men.

NLC029- Night Life Collective- Mr. A.L.I.- An Introduction To Mr. A.L.I.

“Missing you” features pleading, love-struck vocals from Nature Love, as leisurely keys, rasping brass, a grooving guitar bass, and breezy strings provide the backing. The ‘dub’ is a chilled affair, with a relaxed, meandering sax, velvety vocals, soft-touch live drums, and a laidback guitar. Lego’s ‘Extended Vocal Remix’ muffles the bass and rolls out percussion, while keys, imploring vocals, a swinging sax, and a pointed trumpet adds a certain extra flavor. “Introduction (to Mr. A.L.I.)” takes sparkling keys, a winding jazz piano, seductive vocals and a trumpet played with vibrato on an deep journey. “Swing It, Baby” is essentially a re-touch of “Introduction”, with a slim guitar, wavering Latino keys, echoing trumpet, tempting vocals, and raw bass groove. Having Mr A.L.I in the driver seat of NLC will surely built the label’s profile to new heights! Other productions of Mr. A.L.I. include the Rial record on Loveslap! and a feature on Nick Santilian’s release on Act 2.

    February 21 Releases

ATX151- Pair of Jacks (Angel Alanis and Reese Urban)- Jack it Up
The imprint from someone who is no stranger to fans of Chicago House labels like IHR, UC and a bin- load of others. This debut album from A-Trax defined the sound and style the label was structured for and that undoubtedly is “TRAX”! Mr Alanis reflects back to his harder UC Music (Underground Construction) and IHR days and fills the empty hole left by UC and other labels that have come and gone. Angel takes no shortcuts on creating a whole new entity that delivers explosive tunes with hints of his classic track- making style.

KF001- Johnny Fiasco- Klassik Fiasco Vol 1
Sitting in the Attic that houses the Studio of stellar house producer Johnny Fiasco…
With a little sweat and some serious listening this record label concept is the end result!
Klassik Fiasco is where we release those lost or scratched records that are no longer in print that are serious Johnny Fiasco hits! All releases are mixed down by the professor (JF) himself.

HTM001- Slater Hogan & John Larner- Caught Up
Already tested by top jocks like Wooly himself along with DJ Heather, Justin Long of No Assembly Required, Derrick Carter and countless others that were already fortunate to get their hands on a copy of this hottie! The A side is a straight forward jack hammer breaking grounds with bass and drums toped with charging vocal. The flip is a break down of baselines with parts of the vocal that work up a groove perfect for those dimly lit small lounges. A perfect pick to go with offerings from Lawn Chair Generals (Low Down / West Bound releases), Brett Johnson or Hogan / Larner Icon Releases.)

GTC001- Gant-Man- That 773 JukeDance Mania was a Chicago house label whose roster of artists read like a who’s-who of Classic innovators of house music. Lil Louis, Mike Dunn, Paul Johnson, and many others began there. It soon became the sole provider of a music that was named “Ghetto House,” a term first used by DJ FUNK. Leading makers of this music included: DJ DEEON, JAMMIN GERALD, DJ FUNK, GANT MAN and so on. Creating the craze, Dance Mania became known for releasing these tracks only as white labels, which they referred to as ” tests.” So on that note, to fit the demand for the music and to keep the fire burning…. here is the debut record on the new label Ghetto Test by Gant-Man.

GRR001- Rick Garcia- Vol. 1 Salsa Soul
With a serious intent of bringing traditional Latin flavor to House Music, Rick unleashed this new imprint from Chicago out to the world. This three tracker kicks off with “La-Salsa”, an example of perfect sound crafting and impeccable percussion programming. There is a Spanish vocal that glides along over a hypnotic Latin groove until a breakdown that builds back up slowly and will have the crowd ecstatic when the bass line kicks in for maximum impact. Big room business, for sure. Next up is “Mi Cuba Linda”; custom made for extra long mixing you will hear this one in the clubs a great deal. Beginning with a filtered loop that rumbles in seamlessly, once full in the mix it is later joined by a magnificent guitar line. A call and response in Spanish ensues and is followed by a developed guitar solo that is marvelous. The closer to this imprint’s debut is “Tambor Cubano”; a beat track created from “Mi Cuba Linda” and can turn any record into a Latin jam. Heavy on the whistle, this one has a terrific fade out/in that will cause madness on the floor.

    March 28th Releases

HMP801- Harrison Crump and Josh the Funky 1- KonStruction

    Only available digitally!

You read that right! Chicago House mainstays Harrison Crump and Josh the Funky 1 get together to bring you a bouncing tune suited for any dancefloor… Harrison Crump and Josh the Funky 1 are unarguably two of the most notable names in house music. Harrison Crump, classic Chicago house, has paired up with the newer, fresh-faced but well-experienced Josh the Funky 1 who, among other accomplishments, co-produced Bangin in the Box vol. 4 and the Bangin’ in London mix comps with BBB. The match-up on this track works.

NLC028- Harmony Funk- Always be Around

Nite Life Collective is proud to present another debut from DJ Stax and his Harmony Funk moniker. This release kicks off with “Always Be Around” rocking the live afro-centric vibe that is sure to be a hit. A full vocal here delivered by Lil’ Louis’ brother Cei-Bei with deep, low background vocals to accompany them. A delicate electronic nuance rides just under the surface of the track and is reminiscent of Kraftwerk at times. All of this in a single serving and a Rhoades solo that rides until the end of the track, you can’t go wrong. Flip it for GU’s “I’ll Always Be A Dub” and by God, he does it again. Glenn deconstructs and reconstructs the groove to marvelous results only using “I don’t care, I’ll always be around” from the full vocal pass. Using a melody that teases close to the seminal “E2-E4” he smoothes us out to a solo that is excellent and will reside in flight cases of the Deep House royalty. Rounding out the side is GU’s “I’ll Always Dub A Dub” which is a short track that starts as a drumapella with super effected vocals and ends up with what sounds like a trumpet solo with string accompaniment.

    NLC030 – Nature Love – Save Me

Glenn Underground’s Nite Life Collective has brought many raw Chicago talents to the table over the years. There was a record on Nite Life Collective by Nature Love called “Speak Softly” that turned a lot of heads from BPM’s Jon Wesley in the media to Frankie Knuckles in the DJ world (he licensed it for his Australian “Mardi Gras” CD). We are proud to welcome Nature back for an even stronger sophomore effort “Save Me”. The Original version is an accomplishment in song writing for Nature and DJ Quad and what a song it is. Her voice, tastefully affected, delivers the lyrical genius and is sublime. Cut two is DJ Quad’s “Sift & Crunch Mix” which delves deeper into the theme with a blip and beep backbone layered with live bass and a shaker that is sure to make them shake. DJ Quad’s “Amsterdam Mix” is so deep it takes things into sub-aquatic territory. This one can be used as either an early morning masterpiece or a cocktail hour opener with an approach that is smooth as velvet bed sheets. Lastly comes Sean Smith’s “Save The Obsessed Mix” with, a heavy vibraphone workout.
