    Attention House Music intellects,

This week’s show is going get you totally Funked. This week’s mixers

are DJ JM3 and DJ Marbll from Chicago.

    DJ JM 3

    [QUOTE] Bio quoted from JM3.com

[color=Red”>DJ JM3 had a musical background with knowledge of four

instruments. After listening to the hot mixes on WBMX (at that time

on 102.7FM). JM3 managed to produce mixes the Now Defunct WBGE

92.3 in Peoria and a WXAV 88.3, a college station in Chicago.

He helps out Grammy Nominated DJ/Producer Steve “Silk” Hurley

with the “Old Skool /New Skool remixes” which aired on the Tom

Joyner Morning Show. In addition, he works for SupeRadio/Access 1

Communications, doing syndicated Old Skool and Gospel mix shows

that aired in 30 different markets Nationwide.

DJ JM3 was picked to perform @The 2005 Chicago Summer Dance DJ

Series. The 11-week event featured DJs such as Andre Hatchett,

Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Terry Hunter, Mark Grant, and Glenn

    Underground and Ron Carroll.

DJ JM3 has done remixes on Jill Scott’s “Cross My Mind”, Kindred &

the Family Soul’s “The Question (Where would I Be)”, and Lina’s

    “Come To Mama”

[/color”>[/QUOTE”>This mix was recorded back in 1997. The mix was

pumped up on a show I had back in the day on St. Xavier’s

University’s WXAV Radio. This DJ JM 3 mix is a true disco/funk

exclusive. Also be sure to listen for an on location interview I had

with DJ JM3 on the show just before his mix.

    DJ Marbll

[QUOTE”> [Bio quoted from http://www.tycoondog .com

    “>[color=Blue”>

Chicago native Eric Johnson has badass chops the whole way around:

from African and Latin polyrythms, to rock and r&b, to jazz, gospel

and hip-hop, Eric’s power and finesse with all manifestations of the

beat is exceptional. Maybe it’s all the time he has spent DJing and

collecting rare records, maybe it’s a by-product of his production

talents, or maybe it’s just due to his Creole heritage, but whatever

the source of Eric’s musical diversity, it has made him a

much-in-demand participant in projects of multiple genres for a truly

impressive array of artists, including Kanye West, Angie Stone, Dru

Hill, Chingy, Pras (The Fugees), Jackie Dustin, The Pentecostal Choir

of Chicago, The Turks & Caicos Mass Choir and The Arkansas Mass

Choir. It’s a simple as this: Eric rages on the drums, and he

breathes a fiercely dynamic fire into the rhythms of Tycoon Dog.

[/color”> [/QUOTE”>A Chicago south side native who has been Djing for

nine years. However, in my opinion, his mixing style sounds like he’s

been around a bit longer than that. Get into this bangin’ disco mix this

    Show #46

    Attention House Music intellects,

Tune in to this week’s show for another body moving treat.

This weeks feature DJ’s are DJ Sean Smith & Old School DJ

Kenny Ray. Its’ gonna be Slamming!!!

    Sean Smith

    [Bio segment quoted from

    http://www.smoothagentrecords.com ]

Sean is ranked among Chicago’s top DJ’s as well as

producers. Sean began spinning at the age of 13, and has

since performed with legends Mike Dearborn, Farley

Jackmaster Funk, Armando, Ron Carroll, Pharris Thomas, Lil’

John Coleman, Paul Johnson, Boo Williams and many other

well known artists. Sean has spun at several of Chicago’s

hottest nightclubs, which include: The Budda Lounge, Fuse,

Clubhouse, Saunami, Sinnabar, Spy Bar, Beviamo, Nocturnal,

Café Dolce, Betty’s, Red Dog, Why Knot, Dragon Fly, Spot

6, Zentra, Beviamos, Subterranean, as well as numerous

    private parties and after-hour spots.

Sean is currently working on projects with DJ Celest

(Fameldehyde), DJ Motion (After Hours, GYA, Ultra Sound),

Sommer Trella (Fiat-Lux) and Danielle Spencer (Aquarius,

Brique Rouge), DJ PAP (Dusttracks), DJ QUAD (Dusttracks,

MCA, Distant, Large), Agent 2A (LoveSlap), David Brown

(Large), Torin Edmond (Smooth Agent) & George Jackson

    (Silk Entertainment).

The mature mixing styles of Sean Smith exhibits a

pure example of what house music has become. Check out

his mix on this week’s show.

Also, listen for the brief interview I had with him at last

year’s Chosen Few Picnic here in Chicago, IL.

    Old School DJ Kenny Ray

    [Bio segment quoted from

    http://www.thedjlist.com ]

By definition, OldSchool, DJ, Kenny Ray, is one of the very

few (original) House Music legends; beginning with and

where the popular nightclub sound manifested, Chicago,

Illinois. Now, some twenty years later his distinct sound

continues to soar. An unlikely career for the 6 foot 5 high

school basketball star, that kindled an affair with music.

Taking an apprentice job as a roadie for the popular Chosen

Few Disco Corp of the late 70s, DJ Kenny Rays beginnings

are not unlike most young vinyl spinners carrying records,

setting up equipment, begging to be next to serve the

crowd. In the Chi, you had to earn yours.

For Kenny, that wasnt so bad, as he never had a problem

dancing to the sounds until he was up, giving him a chance

to feel the crowd, watch the current pros and squash out

the competition, because for the oldschoolers, when you

were up .You better be bringin it!!!

    DJ Kenny

Ray’s hyped up mix will keep you moving in your seat or

where ever you are. I especially enjoyed the some of the

vocal tracks he selected for his mix titled “Shall We Dance

    1”

I also had a chance to speak briefly with him. Listen for it

just before his mix in the second hour.

    Chilly C. & DJ Fritz

[Bio segment quoted by DJ Fritz ]

DJ Fritz is ranked as one of the top DJ’s in Chicago as well as a

    producer.

He started on the wheels of steel at the age of nine, & certainly made

    a

contribution on the house scene in Chicago. He performed with some

    of

Chicago’s greats, such as Armando, Ron Carroll, Boo Williams, Paul

    Johnson,

Andre Harris, Mark Grant, Glenn Underground & numerous more.

    Inspired by

Chicago’s definition of house, he accumulated his own unique style.

    DJ Fritz

can move the crowd in more ways than one, as he strives to make

    more & more

    music.

DJ Fritz has played at some of Chicago’s infamous old school

    underground

clubs, such as the Powerhouse with Ron Hardy, the Warehouse with

    Hugo and

Terry Hunter, and the Generator with Dana Powell. Having been part

    of the

house scene for long, he started producing his own tracks. He

    remixed “Love

You More” by Genuine, “New Day” by Patti LaBelle and “O” by

    Omarion.

In 2000, DJ Fritz created Muzic Vision Records, which has released

    “African

Orchestra”, “Brighter Day” and “The Journey Home” with last

    releases from

Glenn Underground titled “Inner Techno” and “Ambient Jazz 1”.

    Muzic Vision

Records established itself, and DJ Fritz continued to work on projects,

    and

    spinning at major nightclubs.

DJ Fritz then moved on and collaborated with DJ Pap, and from there

    got

involved with Naked Soul, which released nothing but the soulful

    grooves.

Later, more entities were created, such as Black Mamba, which is

    their

African tribal grooves, and Gamma Kids, where you will hear more of

    the

techno beats. Currently, DJ Fritz is working on several tracks which

    will

soon be released and is still highly involved with the house scene in

    Chicago.

    Attention House Music intellects,

Show 50 already!! Didn’t even notice it. However, it has truly been a

pleasure to bring you 50+ shows. Keep tuning in there is more to

    come.

Get ready for another 2 hours of body moving music. This week’s

guest DJs are Miss Shiny from Switzerland & DJ JM3 from Chicago.

    DJ Miss Shiny

    Bio quoted from http://www.blondboche.com

During her childhood, Miss Shiny wasn’t really a fan of a particular

style of music. She bought her first tape of Acid on a market place. It

was her first contact with electronic music, which became her

    favourite style.

Too young in the nineties to go out, Miss Shiny is recording tapes on

Couleur 3 . She finally had the opportunity, in 1994, to go out and

discover the New York Club in Neuchâtel. Unfortunately, the club

closed and she therefore went to big parties.

Miss Shiny moved to Geneva. In 2000, she started spinning. Miss

Shiny likes techno music. She is starting to mix hard beats. She met

Mandarin of the Plage 83 who owns a record shop in Grand-Lancy. He

gave her the opportunity to mix a first set at the Aiglon in Geneva on

the 31st of December 2001. She will never forget her first

    experience.

After that, she heard one of Olav Basoski’s production and enjoyed it

very much. She decided to start mixing house.

Back in Neuchâtel, she met her boyfriend Blond Boche who has been

mixing for a while. With Dj Change they decided to create the BHOC .

At the beginning of November 2003, she had the opportunity to listen

to her mix on the Couleur 3 radio. What a strange and incredible

feeling to hear her music on the radio.

Her favourites artists are : Tom Gillieron, Demarkus Lewis, Joey

Youngman, Richard Grey, Adam Chinch, The Rurals, Jason Jinx,

Sebastien Leger, Tomie Nevada, Dj Sneak, Patrick Alavi, Sound

    Projectors, Johnny Fiasco, Dj Pierre,

    Feliz Ciudad, Dj Vitamin D…

She loves disco, filtered and instrumental house.

    This girl

has got SOUL!!! Miss Shiny’s mix is to hot to talk about! Just listen

this week to hear for yourself!!

    DJ JM3

    Bio quoted from

    http://www.djjm3.com

DJ JM3 had a musical background with knowledge of four

    instruments. After

listening to the hot mixes on WBMX (at that time on 102.7FM). JM3

    managed to

produce mixes the Now Defunct WBGE 92.3 in Peoria and a WXAV

    Show #51

    Attention House Music intellects,

I’m back again with another body moving experience. This

week guest mixers are Mr. Terror from the NYC and DJ BHE

    from the CHI.

    Mr. Terror

[Bio segment quoted from Mr. Terror ]

To quote a classic Patti Labelle record-“Music is My Life…”

    Mr Terror has

been playing with records and turntables for as long as he

    can remember. He

got his start at the tender age of four, picking 45s for his

    parents house

parties in Brooklyn. Terror then graduated to making

    pause-button mixtapes,

and got his first pair of turntables and a mixer at age 12.

    Terror then

began doing house parties, block parties, and school

    dances, and tried his

hand at production, landing a couple of tracks into heavy

    rotation at local

    underground radio stations.

The end of high school brought Mr Terror to the NYC Club

    circuit, and to his

first experience at the Paradise Garage. The Garage would

    change Terror’s

perception of DJing and of how music can move people. “Ive

    never been much

of a dancer, but after a little while, the music made you

    move your body-and

time and space stopped and you became one with the beat

    and the vibe….” It

also allowed Terror to witness firsthand the power of the DJ

    to control the

crowd and take therm on a journey, a power that he has

    tried to harness

whether it was spinning live at the World, the Island

    Lounge, Club Harambe,

teh original SoulHouse, floating loft parties, or on mixtapes.

    Terror also

brought his mixing skill to radio, where he DJed on many

    college and

independent radio shows, and co-hosted the Xstacy show

    for 2 years.

These days, Mr Terror is focused on running his two

    websites, the Mixpad

(http://www.mixpad.com) and the Old House Channel

    (http://www.oldhousechannel.com) and building Old House

    Channel radio

    (http://www.live365.com/stations/oldhousechannel). With

    Old House Channel

Radio, Terror hopes to bring back the raw vibe of the early

    house post disco

club vibe, and introduce it to a new generation, as well as

    educate them on

the origins of much of the different genres of club music

    that make up

todays club scene. And, hopefully, to stay as passionate

    about the music as

he was as a happy go lucky four year old putting 45s on a

    record player for

    grown folks delight…

Mr. Terror’s mix will keep you

moving. It is smooth and complete with some

    ear catching tactics. Great mix!!

    .

    DJ BHE

    (Pronounced DJ B) b]

[Bio segment quoted from http://www.djbhe.com ]

    Born: Solomon Bramlett

    D. O. B.: May 20th

    City: Chicago, IL USA

    Years Experience: 20+

    Styles: Soulful Underground, Inspirational/Gospel House

    Music

I started spinning in 1983. I worked on my spinning skills at

    clubs and

basement parties. I also began making mix tapes during the

    House “Glory”

Days (1983-1989). My inspiration to spin came from

    listening to the

Legendary Farley “Jackmaster” Funk and the Hot Mix Five

    on WBMX (House radio

station in Chicago). In 1986, I had an opportunity to spin

    with Farley.

During this time, I also met and befriended the late

    Legendary Ron Hardy

(Music Box). Also in 1986, I met Reggie R., an up and

    coming House Music

producer who was doing studio production for Mike “Hitman”

    Wilson and

Pierre’s Pfantasy Club (Fantasy Girl). Reggie R. and I

    became a team and

put out our first release in 1988 on our own label

    (Jackstreet Records) and

we never looked back. Together, we have more than 15

    years recording

experience. We released eleven 12 inches/EP’s on

    Jackstreet Records as

Jackstreet, Inc. and as Random Access. We also recorded

    as Jackstreet, Inc

on Real House Records (founded by Mike “Hitman” Wilson)

    and as Random Access

on Cajual/ Relief Records (founded by Cajmere). In addition

    to producing

music, I was a resident DJ in Chicago at the Hummingbird

    from 1987 through

1989. In 1990, I began spinning at The Rapture until 1992.

    I then began

spinning at The Loft until 1994. In March of 2002, I toured

    Germany to

promote my CD Mix Compilation “Praise The Bass” on Edel

    Records playing at

clubs in Hamburg, Hannover, and Cologne. I was also the

    featured dj at the

Southern Comfort River Jam in Hamburg Germany on the

    Louisiana Star

    riverboat.

23 years in the game and still going

strong!!! You don’t want to miss his

skills this week. DJ BHE is a true vinyl record pioneer DJ.

    Show #54

    Attention House Music Intellects!!!!!

For this Easter week I will be featuring two heavy hitting

DJs on the set. From the wild west side of Chicago DJ

Master C. and from New Orleans DJ Javier Drada.

    The Master C.

From the west side of Chicago, his skills are nothing to be

joked about. With his mixture of old school house with Disco

music and edits “The Master C.” has a style of his own.

However his style is not so different that would not keep

you moving on the floor. Just listen for yourself this week.

    Dj Javier Drada

This week I am featuring another Javier mix I picked from

the popular web sight Resisted Resonance. His mix this

week is a joyful experience. It’s what I call “a mix to

cool-out on”. Perfect for that mellow occasion. Enjoy!!

    Show #55

    Attention Music People!!!!!

Get your towel ready for this show. It is gonna be as hot as a sauna!

This weeks guest DJs are Hippie Torrales & DJ Blond Boche.

    Hippie Torrales

Info quoted from the Cyber Jamz forum

Hippie Torrales has been DJing since the early 70’s. Has won several

awards including 1980 Billboard Award for best regional DJ.

Hippie wrote a column in Discoid magazine for over 5 years called

“What Is Hip”. He has also been a Billboard reporter. Currently living

in the Orlando area along with his wife Cheny and son Nicholas.

Hippie still Dj’s internationally, does an internet radio show on

Cyberjamz.com Tuesdays from 10am till 1pm called “What Is Hip”

and is currently working on productions for 2006.

This Jersey native DJ has skills like no other no other

Disco DJ I’ve heard. In his mix this week he plays some old school

tunes and makes them sound  as if they were brand new. A true

    artist!! Not to be forgotten.

    DJ Blond Bouche

    Bio quoted from http://www.blondboche.com

Blond Boche discovered black music when he was young, thanks to

his family (notably with his brother Skymark ).

In 1992, he listened to the mystical album ‘Mothership Connection’

from Parliament, which gave him a revelation about funk music. In

1993, he began to listen to house music, recording radio

transmissions on Couleur 3 like ‘Métissages’ or ‘Pump It Up’. Since

1995, always on Couleur 3, he began to listen to Drum’n’Bass

recordings mixes from djs Pietro Latino or Joey Bennett. He is

directly captivated by the mishap in those breakbeats rhythms. With

his friend Swissniak , he began to buy his first funk and house

    records.

In 1998, he went to Australia a couple of months where he

discovered the didjeridoo which is a big revelation for him. He played

everyday during hours in the tropical nature of this country.

Back in Switzerland, he realized that he could play the didjeridoo with

drum’n’bass. In summer 1999, he played didjeridoo during hours with

his radio box which is running drum’n’bass mixes from Peshay, Shy

Fx or Andy C. In 2000, he saw a concert of Roni Size & co who was

playing drum’n’bass with computers, records, drums, mcs and bass.

At that moment, first BJOC’s concepts were born for him. Then he

founds the group with dj Ouch! and mc Shamoon,  and since 2001

extends it with other djs ( Kama ,Reakt ,Colevile ) and musicians (

Hashb(y) ,Vibes Provider , Fab, Shane, Julien Z, Kama) in order to do

    their own compositions.

During this time, he began to mix Funky records with Swissniak in

order to listen to their own sounds during parties.  One year later, he

met his girlfriend, Miss Shiny , and began to mix house music with

her. At that moment, with Change ‘s help, they found BHOC band.

Since 2002, Blond Boche develops his website in order to offer

complete news about him and his djs & musicians friends.  In the

same time, continuing to invest in mixing, he plays the didjeridoo

    with his BJOC friends.

The smooth mixing sounds of DJ Blond Bouche will cool

you down after the sweat. Enjoy his mix this week!!

    Show #63

    Attention Music Intellects!!!!!

This week I will feature two disco mixes by DJ Bullit & DJ Boo

Williams. Be sure to tune in and have your towel ready!!

    DJ Bullit

Get ready for a very rare selection of tunes put together by DJ Bullit.

This Disco mix is sure to put some movement in your feet and some

spark in your soul. Also listen for the interview just before his mix.

    Boo Willams

    Bio quoted from: http://www.myspace.com/boowilliamsmusic

Born and raised on Chicagos south side, Boo Williams’ career as dj,

producer and remixer goes back to 1993 when house music was still

creating an identity for itself that would put the city on the modern

musical map forever. A healthy diet of Larry Heard, Marshall

Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles and Farley Jackmaster Funk stirred the

flames of the 4 to the floor beat that has remained well alive ever

since. In these early days, childhood collaborator turned life-long

friend, Glenn Underground was to play in important role in Boo’s

career. The creative spark that emerged from their early

collaboration contributed greatly to them becoming influential players

in the Chicago dance scene and eventually way beyond. How many

djs can say their first gig was performed in front of 2500 people??

Boo Williams and his soulful, disco-edged brand of house rocked,

closing a set for house legend Ron Hardy back the days, The post

80s acid and electronic sound of house was developing into one of a

more soulful nature directly borrowing from its disco, funk and soul

heritage and formulating the sub genres of house that we speak of to

this day. To date Boo Williams has had a prolific career with over 50

singles released for likes of Dust Traxx, Cajual, Ovum, Diaspora,

Guidance, 3hree to 5ive, Residual with full L.Ps for Relief and

Defender Records not including remixes for the likes of Green Velvet,

Warmdue Kids, Miles Maeda. His appearances on compilations across

the world are numerous (Ministry of Sound, Kickin Records, Cajual,

Sony) and he has a back catalogue of material that will only

strengthen in years to come and hopefully stand the test of time. At

home in North America, he is a big crowd puller in all the major cities

from coast to coast none more so than in his home town of Chicago

where he is a well-respected veteran of a scene, which still has

plenty to offer. Clubs like The The Powerhouse, The Hummingbird,

Club My House, Crobar, Zantra, Smart Bar and The Warehouse (all

Chicago) have all seen him host residencies over the past 10 years

as well as guest and headline slots in all major cities and States in

USA and Canada including the 2002 Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

His constant bookings in the States has not prevented him from

traveling the Atlantic to play Ministry of Sound, The End and Fabric

(all London), Tribal Gathering (Manchester) as well as Glasgow,

Dublin, Frankfurt, Barcelona as well as world party capital,

    Ibiza.

In hour two Boo Williams Exhibits more rare tunes in

this exclusive disco mix. Don’t miss it in the second hour.
